Districts may utilize the Public Safety Drills App to internally store, track and share their public safety drill reports, audits and logs. This article explains how to complete the safety drill record after the drill.

Completing the Safety Drill Record After the Drill
Upon completion of the public safety drill, the building or district administrator should complete the remaining fields in the public safety drill record. The system will automatically post the safety drill record once completed for public view to comply with state requirements.
- Click the Public Safety Drills app.

- Click the name of the building to update the drill record for.

- Click Edit next to the safety drill record to update.
- Enter the drill information into the remaining fields.
- Examples:
- Execution Duration
- Number of Participants
- When Executed
- Name of EMC Notified
- Name of Public Safety Officer Notified
- Authorizer’s Title
- Authorizer’s Name
- Authorizer’s Signature
- Check the box next to the statement, “The above named authorizes the completion of the drill.”
- Enter Lessons Learned in the text box. Lessons Learned can be additional notes to add to the log. The comments from each drill are organized and saved in the system. Examples of Lessons Learned are: “Substitute teachers did not know where to exit on west wing of campus”. Districts also indicate any barriers that extended their completion time, issues they experienced, or concerns that teachers experienced. Administrators additionally add positive comments, or improvements that occur during drills.
- Click Save.
