Manual Import: Student Data Template

Requirements to complete the student data template for manual import into Munetrix, when exporting data from an SIS system.


  1. Download the Student Data Import Template.
  2. Export the data needed from your Student Information System (SIS) and fill out the template.
  3. Please complete the template as directed below.  Required fields are also noted below.
    • ID: Leave Blank
    • MunID: Leave Blank
    • ScbID: (Required) Enter the school building name.
    • NtmID:  Leave Blank
    • First Name: (Required) Enter student first name(s).
    • Middle Name:  If available enter student middle name or initial.
    • Last Name:  (Required) Enter student last name(s).
    • Address:  Enter student residence street address.
    • City:  Enter student residence city, town, etc.
    • State:  Enter state where student resides.
    • Postal Code:  Enter the postal code or zip codefor the student's residence.
    • Longitude:  Leave blank.
    • Latitude:  Leave blank.
    • DistrictStudentID:  (Required) Enter district assigned student ID if different from student state ID.
    • StateStudentID:  (Required)  Enter student state issued ID.
    • DibelsID:  Enter a unique student ID used for the Acadience/DIBELS assessment if applicable.  Required only if the ID is different from district and state issued student IDs.
    • STARID: Enter a unique student ID used for the Renaissance Learning STAR assessment.  Required only if the ID is different from district and state issued student IDs.
    • NWEAID: Enter a unique student ID used for NWEA MAP and other assessments.  Required only if the ID is different from district and state issued student IDs.
    • i-ReadyID: Enter a unique student ID used for i-Ready.  Required only if the ID is different from district and state issued student IDs.
    • CollegeBoard ID: Enter a unique student ID used for College Board and other assessments.  Required only if the ID is different from district and state issued student IDs.
    • DateBirth: Enter the student's date of birth.  (YYYY/MM/DD)
    • Grade Level: (Required) Enter the student grade level.  Use 0 for Kindergarten.  Use -1 for Pre-K.
    • Ethnicity:  (Required) Enter student ethnicity using the code system below: 
      • 0 = Native Hawiian or Other Pacific Islander
      • 1 = American Indian or Alaska Native
      • 3 = Black or African American
      • 4 = Hispanic or Latino
      • 5 = White
      • 6 = Two or more Races
      • 9 = Asian
    • Gender: (Required) Enter male or female.
    • Hispanic: (Required)  Enter Yes (Y) or No (N)  Note: Students may identify Hispanic in addition to their ethnicity.
    • American Indian: Leave blank.
    • Alaska Native: Leave blank.
    • Asian: Leave blank.
    • African American: Leave blank.
    • Pacific Islander: Leave blank
    • White: Leave blank.
    • EconDisadvan: (Required) Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • SpecEd:  (Required) Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • Migrant: (Required) Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • ELL: (Required) Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • FEL (Former EL Student): Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • Immigrant: (Required) Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • Foster Care: Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • Home Schooled: Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    • Military Connected: Enter Yes (Y) or No (N).
    •  Date Added: (Required)  Enter the date the student was added or enrolled for the year.   Format:  YYYY/MM/DD
    • Date Modified: (Required) Enter the date the student's record was modified or updated in the SIS.  Format: YYYY/MM/DD
  4. Upload the completed Student Data templated, in CSV format, to the unique district folder in Box.  You Munetrix Customer Success Manager.
