Manual Import: Roster Data Template

Requirements to complete the roster data template for manual import into Munetrix, when exporting data from an SIS system.

  1. Download the Roster Data Import Template.
  2. Export the data needed from your Student Information System (SIS) and fill out the template.
  3. Please complete the template as directed below.  Required fields are also noted below.
    • ID: Leave Blank
    • MunID: Leave Blank
    • MunIDres: Leave Blank
    • ScbID: (Required) Enter the school building name.
    • NtmID:  Leave Blank
    • Grade: (Required) Enter the student grade level.  Use 0 for Kindergarten.  Use -1 for Pre-K.
    • State ID:  (Required)  Enter student state issued ID.
    • Student SIS ID: (Required)  Enter the unique student ID issued by the SIS system if different from the student state ID.  This may also be the district student ID. 
    • Student First Name: (Required) Enter student first name(s).
    • Student Last Name:  (Required) Enter student last name(s).
    • Student Middle Initial:  If available enter student middle initial.
    • TeacherID: (Required) Teacher unique identification number.
    • Teacher Name: (Required) Include first and last name.
    • Include: Leave blank.
    • Academic Subject Type:  ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Elective, etc.  If coded, please include a key to decode subjects.
    • Ed Environment: In-School, Remote, Virtual, etc.  If coded, please include a key to decode the environment.
    • Comments: Comments regarding student/teacher/class rostered.
    • Class Name: (Required) Enter the class name for the course.  If coded, please include a key to decode the classes/courses.
    • Available Credits: Enter the number of credits to be earned upon completion of the class/course.
    • Begin Date:  (Required) Class start date for course.  Format:  YYYY/MM/DD
    • End Date: (Required)  Class end date for course.  Format:  YYYY/MM/DD
    • Total Instruction Days:  (Required) Enter district assigned student ID if different from student state ID.
    • Date Added: (Required)  Enter the date the student was added or enrolled in the class for the year.   Format:  YYYY/MM/DD
    • Date Modified: (Required) Enter the date the student/class record was modified or updated in the SIS.  Format: YYYY/MM/DD
  4. Upload the completed Student Data templated, in CSV format, to the unique district folder in Box.
