Navigating the Debt Manager App

In addition to public transparency, the Debt Manager app is intended to provide an alternative to debt obligation worksheets maintained in electronic spreadsheets. In some states, debt payment schedules are required as part of transparency reporting.  Only Munetrix users within the school district with the appropriately assigned role and permissions will have access to the Debt Manager app.  However, some of the reports generated by the Debt Manager app can be visible to the public under the "Financials" reporting section of the Homepage.
  • In the Apps section at the bottom of the Munetrix Homepage, click the Debt Manager icon.

The Debt Manager app is comprised of six sections:  Obligations, Schedules, Debt Export, Accrued Interest, CUSIP Numbers, and Reports.  Each section is described briefly below.

Obligations:   The Obligations section displays all obligations or debts that a school district has incurred.  This section also allows users to add/manage debt schedules for each debt obligation.

Schedules:  Allows districts to see a summary of upcoming payments for each debt obligation.  By default, this section displays upcoming payments within the next 120 days.  However the filters can be used to see all payments within a specific date range - previous, current, and future - for a particular debt obligation.

Data Export:
Allows districts to export data debt schedules for a particular obligation or multiple obligations within a specified date range.

Accrued Interest:  Allows school districts to view accrued interest by debt obligation.

CUSIP Numbers:
A CUSIP number is a unique identification number assigned to stocks and registered bonds in the United States and Canada. It comprises nine letters and includes letters and numbers.  This tool can be used to manage CUSIP numbers in debt obligations where appropriate and/or other types of unique identifiers.

Reports:   This section contains several dynamic reports about the debt obligations as well as summary reports.
