Activate 2-Factor Authentication (Municipal)

Users may activate 2-factor login identification which will send a text message with an authentication code to verify their identity when they login.

Enable 2-Factor Authentication


  • Login to Munetrix.
  • Click your name in the upper right corner.
  • From the drop down menu, click 2-Factor Authentication
  • Click Get Started.

  • Verify your email and phone number.  To update your phone number, click the green pencil icon to the right.  This will take you to your profile page where you can update your phone number.  Be sure to enter a mobile phone number in the phone field.  Click Update Profile.  Then click your name and select 2-Factor Authentication from the drop down menu again.
  • If your phone number is correct - click Send Code.  A 4-digit code will be sent in a text message to your cell phone. 
  • Enter the 4-digit code in the Verify Phone Code box that appears below the phone number and click Verify.   Once this process is complete, you will receive a message that your phone number has been verified.
  • Once you have verified your email address and phone number, click Enable and Proceed.

  • You will receive a confirmation message that 2-Factor Authentication has been enabled for your account.

✏️Note:  You may also select to enable 2-Factor Authentication using your email address if desired.  However, due to the fact that your username is your work email address, and your work email address may be publicly available - we recommend authenticating your account with a mobile phone via text message.
