What’s Next for School Funding? A Chat with Jason Helsen from MSBO

Join us on Wednesday, June 11th at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT for our next webinar: What's Next for School Funding?

Michigan school finance is shifting fast. Get real-world advice on planning confidently through the uncertainty.

Here’s a quick preview of what we’ll cover:

  • Build a proactive cash flow plan by securing pre-approvals and addressing early-year funding gaps.

  • Make strategic cuts as grants phase out to avoid long-term structural issues.

  • Reframe the $10K Foundation Allowance by highlighting rising costs that reduce its real value.

  • Use multi-year enrollment trends to forecast funding and guide staffing and capital plans.

  • Align fund balance strategy with risk tolerance and long-term goals, not just percentage targets.
